The Brooks difference

When the ground gets complicated, we get to work.

Rock. Clay. Wet weather. Tight schedules. Unforeseen conditions. The easy projects aren’t what built us. Brooks was built for work that demands experience, adaptability and a willingness to figure things out. We get involved early, bring field experience into the plan, and work alongside our clients and engineers to find solutions that keep the project moving.

We take pride in doing the work right—not just getting it done. Because good construction starts with strong foundations, and the best work is built to last.

What we believe

Safety, Quality, then Production.

Always in that order.

Safety

Safety comes first because our people come first. We look out for the people working beside us. Every decision starts with getting everyone home safely.

Quality

Quality comes next because the work has to last: no shortcuts, no hidden flaws, only work we stand behind years after we leave the site.

Production

Get those two right, and production takes care of itself. Every plan, every crew, every decision in the field is built around that order. It’s not a slogan on a wall. It’s how we work.

Leadership

Experience that shows up in the field.

Our leadership stays close to the work. We build teams with deep field experience, broad expertise, and the judgment to make good decisions when conditions change. The people involved in planning the work understand what it takes to execute it—and our clients get a team that takes ownership from the first conversation through completion.

Careers

Working at Brooks.

Steady work on our own equipment, with crews that stay together from job to job. Most people here were referred by someone already on the payroll, and that is still the best way in.

Common questions

What general contractors ask us.

Can Brooks provide bonding and insurance documentation?

Yes. Single-project and aggregate bonding capacity are confirmed by our surety, and required bonding documentation is provided with the bid. Certificates of insurance, with current limits and any additional-insured endorsements, are issued on request.

Where do you work?

We take on projects east of the Mississippi, with crews and equipment capable of mobilizing to demanding sites throughout the region. If your project falls outside our typical footprint, reach out—we’re always willing to evaluate the opportunity.

Can Brooks handle the full civil scope, or only a specific portion?

We can support projects across the civil scope, from initial clearing and earthwork through foundations, utilities, mechanical installation and restoration. Performing multiple scopes with our own crews allows us to coordinate the work more efficiently and gives clients a single, accountable partner in the field.

How early should we bring Brooks into a project?

As early as possible. The earlier we’re involved, the more opportunity we have to identify constructability issues, evaluate site conditions, develop an execution plan and find ways to create value before work begins.

What types of projects does Brooks work on?

Our experience includes utility-scale renewable energy, civil infrastructure, foundations, utilities, site development and other complex civil construction. We’re also expanding our capabilities into broader heavy civil, industrial and other demanding construction environments.

Can Brooks mobilize its own equipment?

Yes. Brooks maintains its own equipment fleet and mobilizes crews and equipment to project sites. This gives us greater control over scheduling, production and execution in the field.

What makes Brooks different from other civil subcontractors?

We don’t just execute a scope—we take ownership of the outcome. Our teams get involved early, bring field experience into planning, solve problems alongside our clients and engineers, and take pride in doing the work right.

What does Brooks’ safety program look like?

Safety comes first at Brooks. Our EMR, incident history, written safety program, toolbox talk records and training matrix can be provided as part of the qualification and bid process. Safety. Quality. Then Production. Always.

Can we see examples of comparable projects?

Yes. While active projects may not be publicly identified due to client agreements, we’re happy to discuss comparable scopes, site conditions and challenges directly and provide references when appropriate.

How does Brooks approach challenging site conditions?

We don’t walk away when conditions get difficult. Our teams are experienced in working through challenging ground conditions, weather, access, schedule constraints and other field variables. We work with the client and design team to identify practical solutions and keep the project moving.

How do we get Brooks on our bid list?

Send us your company information, project scope or upcoming bid opportunities. We’ll review the opportunity, confirm whether we’re a fit and let you know what we need to get started.
